Paying the Price: Unleashing Your Exponential Potential

It Will Take Whatever It Wants. The price is always different, mainly because of our virtues, cultures, DNA, religions, and simple basic behaviours. For example, what it cost me to get a BIng didn't cost some of my mates/peers. Those who were in a class with me knew there was a guy who used to come to class with a blue cooler box full of goodies. He was the best 1st year Engineering student, and I think he later got the degree with Cum Laude. Me! I had a lot of non-school-related issues to manage, e.g., cooking, making new friends, and other village-to-city adaptations. But in the end, we all got BIng degrees after paying incurring different costs. To get where you want to go, it will cost you whatever it wants. You have to pay the price that is on your quote/bill. We are all dealt different hands by nature. It is just that it tends to take more than you initially imagined, and even more the older we get. There's just too much stuff to lose as we become risk-averse. Changing co...

Little Mabuthu

The Story of Little Mabuthu - Real  Empowerment Little Mabuthu refers to a young African boy I regard as a warrior. Actually, he is a warrior, given his attitude towards life. He conquers everything on his path. Yet, when you look through his eyes, you see his soul, you feel the humility of your ancestors, and you see endless future possibilities of greatness. An inquisitive young boy with energy that needs to be directed to do good. Empowerment, according to the Cambridge English dictionary, " is the process of gaining freedom and power to do what you want or to control what happens to you ." When you can't control what happens to you, the system hoses you down, and the longer this happens, the more unescapable it gets. Nowadays, it does not take a village to raise a child since we no longer live in small ...

Ghosting Your Help!

Don't Ghost Your Help - Most Bridges Shouldn't Burn Wikipedia says, " Ghosting is the practice of ending all communication and contact with another person without any apparent warning or justification and subsequently ignoring any attempts to reach out or communication made by said person. " (27/05/2022@20H10). Ghosting is simply rendering someone non-existent. Not to be naive, there are instances where ghosting is warranted, most especially when there's no mutual trust, mutual respect, or win-win relations. So it requires some cost-benefit calculations.  Maybe I'm insufferable and obnoxious. I still don't think so. But in this post, I discuss my observations around how a technology such as social media designed to bring us closer (mainly for ideas/information sharing) appears to be creating many Saharas between people (siblings, friends, acquaintances, etc.), resulting in almost zero opportunities (6/10 unemployed youth). With a mobile device on your palm...
